qBittorrent is a free, open-source, cross-platform P2P BitTorrent client developed inC++ and Qt libraries. It was built to provide an open-source alternative to uTorrent, which is a popular BitTorrent client.

In this context, we shall look into the installation of qbittorrent on ubuntu 20.04.
To perform this Installation task, follow the steps given below.
1. Update your system
To begin, make sure all your system packages are updated. Run the following commands:
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt upgrade2. Add qBittorrent PPA on Ubuntu 20.04
Next, we add the qBittorrent PPA(Personal Package Archive) in Ubuntu. Run the command:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stableTo proceed, press ENTER.
3. Install qbittorrent
Next, update the repository and then install qbittorrent. Run the following commands:
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install qbittorrentPress Y to continue with the installation. Another package will be installed in the process.
4. Accessing qBittorrent
Once the installation is complete, launch qBittorrent from the applications menu on ubuntu or run the following command:
$ qbittorrentqBittorrent has a web interface that allows you to control torrent clients from a web browser. To enable the web interface, go to Tools > Preferences > Web UI.
The program runs on port 8080 though you can also specify the port. Open your browser and go the address localhost:8080.
qBittorrent will open up in the web browser.
